My Thoughts
During my summer in Paris, while taking two hospitality classes through BU's study abroad program, I had the opportunity to design a full brand for my Hospitality Management class. My project, MELT, envisioned the city’s first chocolate cocktail bar. To ensure the concept resonated with both locals and visitors, I conducted site interviews with Parisian and American tourists, gathering insights on what would fit the culture.

I also visited 10 Parisian bars—from hidden speakeasies to bustling tourist hubs—to understand the city’s cocktail scene. This hands-on research informed every aspect of MELT’s identity, from its playful yet modern branding, featuring a martini glass with a melted chocolate twist, to its inventive menu inspired by top chocolatiers. This project pushed me to think strategically while staying creative, blending luxury with nostalgia to craft a concept that felt truly Parisian. It was a pivotal moment in my growth, teaching me how to bring a brand to life through research, design, and storytelling.
